There has been concern for some time in respect of the planned replacement of rural copper based land lines with digital. With the intention of everyone off copper onto digital, if there was a power cut 4G would also be lost which could leave people who do not have a mobile or mobile signal vulnerable.

If you live in an area where you believe you have no mobile phone signal then people need to register this with BT on 150 this is also where people can register if they are vulnerable/medical conditions.
